WHY A STEEL BUILDING COSTS YOU LESS

WHY A STEEL BUILDING COSTS YOU LESS

The cost of prefabricated steel structure for industrial is less than other traditional buildings systems. Pre-engineering and prefabrication keep steel building costs low.

Pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMBs) continue to save you money even after construction.

Also, light steel structure can be suited to any type of projects. It makes the construction of the building fast, easy, and cost-effective.

This industrial building covers a construction area of 2400 sq. m, height 5.5m, used for equipment production. Includes production workshop, mezzanine part of the workshop serves as an office, and finished product storage workshop.

The objective was to achieve:

- Easy and Quick installation.

- Environment friendly.

- Low cost and extensive applications.

- Light weight, heat insulation, waterproof, fireproof, sound insulation.

Brief details:

- Column and beam: welded H section steel

- Purlin: C-section steel

- Supporting system: eave struts, wind bracing, flange bracing, base angles, clips and other miscellaneous structural parts

- Wall and roof materials: Corrugated panels

- Door: sliding doors

- Window: aluminium windows

- Scope: designing, manufacturing and erection guidance.

This type of structure is widely used as workshops, warehouses, shopping malls etc. Compared with the traditional concrete building, steel structure buildings have many advantages, such as large span, low demand of base structure, seismic and wind resistance, fast to build and easy to maintain and so on.

The walls of the steel structure buildings are also flexible. Choices are aplenty from coloured steel plate or corrugated metal sheets.

They can be designed as single storey or multistorey. The interior can be designed according to client’s requirements. As it is prefabricated, assembly, erection and installation are based on bolts connection without welding work. They can be assembled and disassembled easily. Four workers can finish 100m2 in 8 hours with supervision according to instructions.

Applications include:

- Warehouses

- Workshops

- Logistics centres

- Storage areas

- Construction site workers dormitories

- Site offices

- Temporary homes for disaster areas
